In this article we have collected the answers to the most common questions you might have working with your ForexVPS subscription.

 

 

 

How do I log in to my server?

You can log in to your server via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). Detailed instructions can be found in this Knowledgebase article.

   

Why does my trading software stop working when I log out of my server?

Your server is for all intents and purposes a remote computer. The difference is that you do not have to turn off your server, you can have it running 24/7.

You can setup and configure your trading software, check that it operates correctly and exit your remote desktop session by simply closing the remote desktop window. You should not log off through Start – Log off. Logging off shuts down your software, same as it would on your personal computer.

How do I pay for my subscription?

There are a few different ways in which you can pay for your subscription. For example, you can pay for the renewal orders as they are created - seven days before the paid period of your subscription ends. Or you can renew your subscription manually whenever you wish. You can also use your account balance to renew your subscription automatically.

 

Can I use my Forex4You account to pay for my server?

No, unfortunately you can't do this. ForexVPS is a separately paid service, that provides you with a server to run your trading software on.

 

I made an electronic payment, but the invoice I paid is still listed as unpaid in my Control Panel

First of all you should try logging out of your Control Panel and then logging back in. If that doesn’t help and it has been over an hour since you made the payment please contact Support and provide us with the payment details, so we can identify your payment.

  

None of these recommendations help/I am having a different issue

In this case, please contact us about your issue. Make sure you describe it in as much detail as you can, so that we can help you as fast and as effectively as possible.

 

I forgot my Control Panel password

You can recover your Control Panel password, if you know your login and have access to your contact email. Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?"

Type in your login into the Login field and then click Submit

An email will be sent to your contact email address. It will contain a link that will allow you to set a new password for the account.

Note: the password needs to be at least seven characters long and should contain numbers, upper and lower-case characters, and special characters like !,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,?,_,~
