ForexVPS: Frequently Asked Questions

In this article we have collected the answers to the most common questions you might have working with your ForexVPS subscription.
You can log in to your server via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). Detailed instructions can be found in this Knowledgebase article.
You need to assign an external IP address to your server so that it is accessible from the outer world. In your Control Panel navigate to the Cloud Infrastructure tab and click on the name of your server.
The server settings page will open. In the Network section click “Configure”.
On the next page click “Add IPv4 address”:
Then check “New IPv4” and click “Save Changes”:
You will redirected to the server settings page. Your new external IP address will appear here in the Network section. You can use it to access the server via RDP.
Your server is for all intents and purposes a remote computer. The difference is that you do not have to turn off your server, you can have it running 24/7.
You can setup and configure your trading software, check that it operates correctly and exit your remote desktop session by simply closing the remote desktop window. You should not log off through Start – Log off. Logging off shuts down your software, same as it would on your personal computer.

There are a few different ways in which you can pay for your subscription. For example, you can pay for the renewal orders as they are created - seven days before the paid period of your subscription ends. Or you can renew your subscription manually whenever you wish. You can also use your account balance to renew your subscription automatically.
No, unfortunately you can't do this. ForexVPS is a separately paid service, that provides you with a server to run your trading software on.
First of all you should try logging out of your Control Panel and then logging back in. If that doesn’t help and it has been over an hour since you made the payment please contact Support and provide us with the payment details, so we can identify your payment.
When the balance is topped up after the order you wish to pay for with it is placed, some additional actions are required to complete the payment. This Knowledgebase article explains what you need to do.
If you wish to avoid this issue in the future, all you need to do is ensure the balance of your account has been topped up to a sufficient amount before the order is placed. You can read more on how you can use our balance to pay for your subscriptions here.
If you originally subscribed to a test of the ForexVPS service, your account registration is incomplete - we only ask for the bare minimum of your personal information until you decide you like our services enough to buy them.
If that is the case, log in to your Control Panel and switch to the Account tab. There click on Account Settings
If the account registration really is incomplete, you will see a warning message on this page and will be able to click Complete Registration.
Here you will be able to choose the type of your account (Business or Personal) and fill in your personal information (the necessary fields are marked with an asterisk). When ready, click Save.
Done. the registration is complete, now you are able to place orders and pay for them.

You can recover your Control Panel password, if you know your login and have access to your contact email. Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?"
Type in your login into the Login field and then click Submit
An email will be sent to your contact email address. It will contain a link that will allow you to set a new password for the account.
Note: the password needs to be at least seven characters long and should contain numbers, upper and lower-case characters, and special characters like !,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,?,_,~
